We went to this great show! Peter Baker whom I met through the ann arbor crappy camera club and his wife Michelle put on an awesome gallery show. Peter's photos are fun and interesting. He had just some fantastic pieces up. Michelle had tons of sample and her latest cards and prints on show and for sale. The elevated details of letterpress give it a very classy look and feel. She also demoed her really cool letter press machines and explained how the process worked. I especially love the industrial paper cutter. If you have ever made a large amount of things with the plastic home paper cutters you might be able to guess at the glory of seeing this contraption. J Tree cellar's wine was also there. He provide the wine for the event. J. Tree cellar's wine is made in Michigan, near blissfield. The wine was quite good and had the extra thrill of being local. Now I know nothing about ice wine but I got that intuition that there is or will be something extraordinary about J. Tree's ice wine. It was very fun to meet the brewer. I love talking to brewers and anyone that makes something they love with their own hands. It was a great evening and Peter and Michelle are great hosts. check out all the appropriate links below:
